Working with Older People

As older people take an ever more active role in their communities, service providers and community organisations are seeking ways to engage with them more in their work.

If this is a question for you, Age & Opportunity's Agewise workshops are a good place to start. Approaching this work with the right attitude will answer many of the questions you might have about working with older participants.

Ann Healy from Dublin's Southside Partnership talks about her experience of providing our Ageing with Confidence programme to older people in her area.

In this section, we highlight our guidelines on working with older people in the arts and identify ways in which we encourage people to lead physical activity among older groups.
