Agewise

The aim of AgeWise is to raise awareness of attitudes to ageing and older people among organisations whose work affects the lives of older people. From there, it encourages action on how ageism may be countered within organisations and workplaces.

The workshops enable participants to:

  • Understand the personal, cultural and structural effects of ageism
  • Identify instances of discrimination against older people
  • Devise strategies to counter age discrimination in their workplace or community.

Workshops can be delivered to groups of up to 24 people while talks can be delivered to groups of any size. Age Equality workshops are facilitated by two trained Age & Opportunity Facilitators, while retirement workshops and talks are delivered by one trained Age & Opportunity Facilitator.
